Samsung has launched the A-Series smartphones mainly to strengthen its mid-range and low-end product portfolio and to compete with Chinese manufacturers in India. The company’s recent quarterly report shows that A-series handsets such as the Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A70 experienced strong sales in the second quarter of this year. In its latest financial report, the Korean company also announced plans to offer more competitive examples of A-Series products in the second half of this year. In this regard, on August 12 this year (August 21, 1398) Samsung has introduced the newest member of this family called the Galaxy A10s, which can be considered as an updated version of the Galaxy A10.
The Galaxy A10 smartphone was introduced to the Indian market in late February 2019. Samsung, as the cheapest A-series phone in this smartphone, had overlooked many specifications to reduce the price. For example, instead of the Exynos 7904 chip used in the Galaxy M20 and the Galaxy M30 in the Galaxy A10, it used the weaker Exynos 7884 chipset. In addition to removing the fingerprint sensor and using the micro-USB port instead of the USB-C port, it also reduced the charger power from 15 watts to 5 watts.
Samsung has now fixed some of the weaknesses of the previous phone in its new smartphone and improved its specifications. The use of a dual camera, a higher capacity battery and a fingerprint sensor are some of the advantages of the new smartphone compared to the Galaxy A10.
This product is designed in the dimensions of 156.9×75.8×7.8 mm and weighs 168 grams. The Galaxy A10s display, like the Galaxy A10, is still 6.2 inches with a TFT LCD panel. The resolution of this display is HDI Plus or 1520×720 pixels, on top of which there is a V-shaped cut; A design that Samsung calls Infinity-V.
Without mentioning the name of the processing chipset of its new product, Samsung has announced that the processing in this phone is done with an 8-core processor, which includes 4 cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.0 GHz and 4 cores with a maximum frequency of 1.6 GHz. In addition to this processor, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory are also used in this smartphone, and its storage space can be increased up to another 512 GB through the independent micro-slot.
The Galaxy A10’s 13-megapixel single camera has been replaced by a dual camera on the Galaxy A10s, the prototype of which is a 13-megapixel camera with an aperture of f / 1.8. The second camera, which is used for depth detection, has a resolution of 2 megapixels and a lens with an aperture of f / 2.4 in front of it. The camera assembly is housed in an oval frame, and the LED flash embedded in the Galaxy A10 has now been moved to the outside and bottom of the frame.
The resolution of the selfie camera, which is located in the V-shaped notch at the top of the screen, has been improved in the new design from 5 megapixels to 8 megapixels. This camera is also used to unlock the phone through face recognition, and a lens with an aperture of F / 2.0 is used in it.
The battery capacity of this dual-SIM smartphone has increased compared to the previous model of 600 mAh and has increased from 3,400 mAh to 4,000 mAh. In addition, the presence of the fingerprint sensor, which was removed in the Galaxy A10, is another positive point of the new Samsung product; A feature that is likely to increase customer attractiveness.
Galaxy A10s with Android 9.0 Pie operating system and One UI user interface is designed in four colors: blue, green, red and black. Exact information about the price and time of its release to the market is not yet available. Some news sources have stated that Samsung will launch its new product in the Indian market soon, pricing it at around Rs 7,990. If this estimate is correct, the Galaxy A10s will be 500 rupees cheaper than the Galaxy A10, despite more features and more advanced features.
